With printing costs so close to covered, it feels like we can start thinking about our dreams! Or in Kickstarter parlance, "stretch goals." With more than $10k, we dream of hiring a bookkeeper! We dream of setting up a local distribution consortium with other small presses in NYC! And we dream of going to Texas in the springtime to share our books at AWP, our nation's biggest book conference!

Crowdfunding has been an education. We’ve learned about the generosity of our artists and their fans. And how everyone needs more support under cultural austerity. We see how established presses and DIY ventures alike are wondering how to sustain themselves. In just the past few weeks, we’ve shifted our understanding of the role of *the reader.* Readers!
